The Emerald Grotto, one of the most famous Amalfi Coast attractions, is situated in the Bay of Conca dei Marini, at about 5 km. from Amalfi. The well known cave is reachable by sea (do not miss our Amalfi Coast Minicruise) or by the coast road SS 163, by lift. The ticket to visit the attraction has a price of about € 5,00 per person. The Emerald Grotto is characterized by extraordinary color effects of the sea water, due to the outside light, filtering through the rocks, and it is embellished by stalactites, stalagmites and columns. The beautiful site is famous for the characteristic underwater nativity scene as well, placed at about 4 meters of deep.
